General Information

A.   There is a code of conduct that all players and parents must agree to and sign. B.   All coaches, assistants, trainers and others working directly with the kids must have a background check and must take concussion recognition training. C.   Games do not typically provide equal playing time for all players. Most players will learn to play extended periods without substitution. We will make honest efforts to play the players we have invited to the team(s). Some players may become “situational substitutes”. D.   Fees per player will be charged to cover costs such as: MOSSL registration; referees for home games; equipment; uniforms; field maintenance – to name several. E.   Players are expected to make all practices and games. There can be exceptions – but we are preparing these young men and women to play at higher levels and it does take higher levels of commitment and motivation to play in these leagues. F.    We play every game to win; but losing and learning from losses is part of competitive athletics and part of life.

#1 | Honor God in all we say or do.

#2 | Demonstrate Kingdom Living

#3 | Teach good soccer, good sportsmanship and good mental attitude.

#4 | Prepare our bodies, minds and spirits for competition – for life.

Our purpose is to glorify God through our performance, behavior and language both on and off the field.

Our mission is kingdom building (Christ’s kingdom).

Who or What is KASA?

We are a faith-based non-profit organization providing opportunities for Marion area youth to play soccer at a more competitive level (travel soccer). We have a provisional status in a league based in Columbus, the Mid-Ohio Select Soccer League (MOSSL). Foundational Principles KASA is based upon four foundational principles: 1 | Christ is Lord over all of life – including soccer practices and matches. 2 | We are all about building character; learning and modeling Christ’s character is paramount. 3 | We will hold ourselves to a higher standard. We will be people of integrity. We will be building blocks for Christ’s kingdom, not stumbling blocks. 4 | Teaching soccer is going to look like what we are doing. But teaching life lessons is what KASA is really all about.
